Our aim here at Y Bwyty Bach (The Small Restaurant), Tretower is to highlight the quality of produce from our local area. Our menu is designed using seasonal ingredients that are as local as possible, cooked simply to bring out the product’s purest flavour.
Who we are
Meet our chef and owner
Our kitchen is headed by our chef and owner Connor Turner, from Llangynidr. Connor has worked in some of the best kitchens Wales has to offer, from award-winning gastro pubs to Michelin-starred restaurants. After winning a variety of accolades he decided to bring his own style of cooking to his local area.
“After years of working in some amazing restaurants, I am very excited to open my first restaurant and put my stamp on the industry with my style of cooking. I am fortunate that Cadw have given me this opportunity to cook in such a beautiful, historic location and I am determined to do it justice.”
and our Front of House
The front of house will be led by Daf Andrews, from Cardiff. With extensive expertise as a successful Operations Director, he brings years of experience within the London, Edinburgh, and Cardiff hospitality sectors. Daf specialises in the creation, development and maintenance of destination restaurant and bar concepts. His achievements to date include project-leading the concept, pre-opening and launch of London’s biggest restaurant and bar openings, leading multi-million turnover luxury operations and maximising new and existing restaurant and bars through creating excellent guest experience, exceeding profit targets and establishing presence across the country’s most affluent hospitality locations.
